DIRT BIKE RACING CAREER
Konner started racing on April 28, 2013 at age 15. With the help of family members Konner came home with a 12th place finish and he was hooked. For the next 9 years Konner would race around the North Texas area mainly where he would compete in different types of dirt bike series such as Cross Country, Motocross, Scramblecross, Am-Arenacross, and Am-Supercross. This made Konner a versatile racer, after winning some championships and getting older he turned his attention to what was next for him.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
In 2021 Konner started to looking into racing other forms of motorsports, that's when he found Micro Sprint racing. much like a dirt bike these cars are small, very quick and affordable. In March of 2022 Konner jumped in the deep end and bought a car to try and get on track as fast as possible. This didn't payoff and left a lot of setbacks. After months of trouble Konner sold the car. In August 2022 Konner decided to research as much as possible and buy a bare frame to build a car from the ground up. After almost a year of building Konner finished the car in June 2023.
2023 RACE SEASON
Konner's first race on a dirt oval was June 2023. The night started out just learning and gaining laps. in each session Konner cut his lap time down and by halfway in the heat race Konner got his lap time down to within half a second of the leaders lap time. As Konner got to the halfway point he spun the car out pushing it a little to hard through the slick. this revealed that Konner had a radiator hose pop off so he pulled it in the pits and that ended his night.
Konner came back in July of 2023 and tried to continue were he left of but this time more motor woes forced him to pull out of the event after hot laps.
MOVING FORWARD
After a very rough 2023 in the Micro Sprint, Konner is determined to make it to a track on a weekly basis in 2025. Looking at that Konner has made the decision to pursue dirt modified racing for 2025 and beyond with the goal of jumping in a late model in the future. This decision was not a easy one but Konner feels this is a beneficial move for his progression in the sport.
